Dov Hikind Votes For 2 Bills That Recognize Same Sex "Marriage"

It's bad enough that people like Steven Cymbrowitz (Flatbush), Joseph Lentol (Williamsburg) vote for pro homosexuality bills because they know our community doesn't have our priorities straight and wouldn't use political pressure to force these politicians to vote appropriately.  But here we have 2 bills that's purpose is to consider same sex "marriages" equivalent, to real marriages, and of the 5 Jews in Albany who claim to be Orthodox all 5 voted for it (Dov Hikind, Phillip Goldfeder, Michael Simanowitz, Shelly Silver (who no longer has his fake heter of being speaker), and David Weprin).

The memo to Bill A05476 makes it clear that it's purpose is to extend same sex "marriages" to other areas of the law, and is thus really a bill to recognize same sex "marriage" in estates, powers and trusts law.  (highlighted portion is added for clarity). The reason for this bill was that the state didn't change other laws when they made the same sex "marriage" law.  Voting for this bill is voting to recognize those said unions for other areas of the law.  Thus voting for this bill is equvlient to voting for same sex "marriage".
PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL:
The "Marriage" Equality Act enacted as Chapter 95 of 2011 provides that "marriages" of same-sex and different-sex couples are to be treated equally in all respects under the law. This bill makes conforming changes to the Estates, Powers and Trusts Law and the Surrogate's Court Procedure Act to reflect the provisions of the same sex "marriage" Act.

The second bill A00023 makes it that same sex "marriages" must be recognized regarding adoptions as is made perfectly clear by the memo.  Voting for this bill means by default, you recognize the "marriage" of a same sex couple, and furthermore wish to make sure that other states recognize the "parentage" of both parties in the same sex couple
JUSTIFICATION :
Under existing New York law, judges already have the ability to grant an adoption of a child by a petitioner whose parentage is already legally-recognized. These adoptions are routinely granted and can be very important for many same-sex "couples" and their "children"
While the spouse of a woman who gives birth to a child is presumed to be the child's parent, same-sex "couples" find themselves in a legally precarious position when traveling in places where same-sex "marriages" are not recognized. A New York adoption would be honored in another jurisdiction, and afforded full faith and credit, even if a couple's "marriage" was not. This gives children the security that both their "parents" will be legally recognized wherever family members may be due to their same sex "marriage".
Already under existing law, judges may and routinely do grant these adoptions. Despite this clear legal authority, a Surrogate's Court in Brooklyn recently denied a "married" same-sex couple an adoption. This bill further codifies the existing law to explicitly state that a petition to adopt shall not be denied solely on the basis that the petitioner's parentage is already legally-recognized due to a same sex "marriage". This bill ensures that same sex couples' access to such adoptions could not be fettered by future court decisions.

Contacting some of these legislators to complain can prevent them from ever voting for such rishus again, this is especially true for Dov Hikind who is represents the largest Orthodox community in America

How Borough Park Helped Bring Assisted "Suicide" Legislation To New York

After Seymour Lachman left the State Senate The Jewish community had a chance to put in someone who would fight for decency in the senate instead we stayed home and those who voted did so in what looks like a majority for a leftist pig (Diane Savino) who was one of the leading pushers behind same sex "marriage" and now Assisted "Suicide"

look at this map below and ask yourself could the Jewish community have brought out even 5,000 votes for someone decent?
now add in parts of Bensonhurst and Sea Gate and you'll see who is at fault.
Borough Park portion of Savino's 2004 district (click to see entire district which includes parts of Bensonhurst and all of Sea Gate)

Instead we had the Jewish "leaders" support this thing including outgoing state senator Seymour Lachman and Assemblyman Dov Hikind.

From her '04 flyer
"she has the energy, she has the intelligence, she has the integrity and she has the experience to be state senator"     Seymour Lachman  (I hope he has changed his mind since then)

notice that in the 48th and 49th AD's which Jews were most likely majority of the voters Savino actually won

Here are the Staten Island numbers when added together Savino only got 4,621 votes (including Jewish traitors)
When looking at these numbers it's obvious to everyone that we failed miserably and we unfortunately will be held accountable
And for the record just looking at her endorsements and we knew back in 04 that she was terrible.
  • She got the support of the Democratic Socialists of America (page 7) (they only endorsed 4 candidates in the state)
  • She was the only the only candidate who got the working families party line (it was more idealistic (meaning leftist) then too)
  • She was endorsed in the primary by Liz Kruger, and Toby Ann Stovisky 2 of the most leftists in the senate
  • She was endorsed by NARAL (a super pro abortion group)
  • MOST IMPORTANTLY SHE GOT THE ENDORSEMENT OF BROOKLYN'S GAY POLITICAL CLUB

State Senators Look to Introduce ‘Death With Dignity’ Legislation This Month
By Jillian Jorgensen | 01/15/15 9:23am

After a terminally ill woman made headlines when she moved to Oregon so she could end her life under a doctor’s care, two State Senators are hoping to bring a similar law to New York.
“There are only five states in the country that allow for people to make end of life decisions similar to what Oregon does, and New York is not one of them,” former Borough Park State Senator Diane Savino told the Observer.

Brittany Maynard, 29, was suffering from brain cancer when she ended her life November 1 with a lethal dose of secobarbital prescribed by her physician. In New York, doing so would have put her doctor at risk of manslaughter charges, Ms. Savino said. She and State Senator Brad Hoylman want to change that with legislation Ms. Savino said they’d look to introduce by the end of the month.

“I was moved by Brittany’s story. I had seen her videos and felt compelled by the need, if I or any of my loved ones find themselves in a similar situation, to have that choice—and what a wonderful "gift" for her, that she was able to have a modicum of control over her end of life,” Mr. Hoylman told the Observer.

Mr. Hoylman, whose interest in the legislation was first reported by the Daily News, and Ms. Savino said the legislation would be modeled on the law in Oregon, a state Ms. Maynard moved to specifically so she could access its “Death With Dignity” law.

“What we’re looking to do is two things: amend the public health law in New York State to allow patients and doctors and family members of patients? to make end of life decisions that make sense for them, and two, to inoculate doctors who choose to do this from prosecution,” Ms. Savino said.
And Jewish leaders continued to support her

A patient would need to have a terminal illness that was verified by more than one physician, and have a prognosis of fewer than six months. The patient would need to be found to be of sound mind in a mental competency hearing verified by another independent psychologist which is not in Linda Rosenthal's bill (her's only mandates a psychiatric evaluation if a doctor demands it) which is presumably the same bill these 2 plan on sponsoring happens. If the patient met all the criteria, he or she could request in writing to be prescribed the lethal dose of medication.

“What we’ve found in other states that have this now is the vast majority of patients who elect to do so never use the prescription and that only 3% of people had a psychiatric evaluation,” Ms. Savino said, but simply want to know they have that power over their illness. “They have some control over what is an uncontrollable situation.”

The senators are working with "Compassion" and "Choices" who's founder Derek Humphry wrote a guide book on how to commit suicide that actually led to be people committing suicide, the advocacy group that published a video of Maynard discussing her choice to move to Oregon and set a date for the end of her life that put her—and the issue of "aid" in dying legislation—in the spotlight late last year. The group is continuing to lobby on her behalf for similar laws nationwide, along with Maynard’s husband Dan Diaz, who this week gave his first interviews since his wife’s death. Compassion & Choices also lobbied on behalf of another priority of Ms. Savino’s—the medical marijuana law passed last year.

Several years ago I got a call from a suburban police officer who sounded close to distraught.

He and his partner had just finished coming from the apparent suicide of a young woman who died of carbon monoxide poisoning in her family`s garage.
Among the young woman`s possessions, the officer had found a book. The book was called ``Let Me Die Before I Wake.``
``The book appears to be a guide to how to commit suicide,`` the officer said. ``It appears that the young woman may have read it before she killed herself.``
He wanted to know if such a book was legal. He said that it was written by a man named Derek Humphry, who was affiliated with something called the Hemlock Society. The police officer didn`t know if this was some sort of a cult, or what: ``It just seems wrong that people can read this stuff and learn how to kill themselves.``
(Chicago Tribune)

“Compassion & Choices, as Diane proved, is a terrific partner and has a lot of experience in the New York State legislature. That’s why I’m thrilled to partner with Sen. Savino on this issue,” Mr. Hoylman said, also noting Ms. Savino’s ties to leadership as a member of the Democratic Independent Conference which means that this bill might pass if she makes a deal with Dean Skelos who helped pass same sex "marriage" and the rishaim/idiots of the 5 Towns keep electing.

Still, the legislation could face an uphill battle. Many religious groups strongly oppose such measures, and it’s unclear if it would find favor with leaders in the Senate, dominated by Republicans, and Assembly, or with Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

It’s very controversial because it makes people uncomfortable, it really does. I never run away from the uncomfortable,” Ms. Savino said. like she did with people opposing same sex "marriage?  “But in passing I mentioned it to a couple of members and I was somewhat surprised to how supportive they were. There’s not a person who gets to the age of 30 in this world who doesn’t see, or hasn’t seen, someone they love suffer terribly.”

The "open minded" senator hung this outside her office during the fight to destroy marriage

Mr. Hoylman too thought it would be possible to pass the legislation, saying the state had a “sophisticated electorate”meaning  evil/liberal electorate and that they would work to educate means pressure colleagues on the need for the legislation.

“We’ll work on a bill that people are comfortable with, including the advocates, including groups that are concerned about making certain that there are adequate safeguards like Washington where only 3% of people had a psychiatric evaluation? in the legislation, and address concerns like insurance meaning you are now going to pay for murder and be a full partner in this crime and who makes these decisions I though they claimed it was the patient? and issues that are crucial to making certain that the process is not taken advantage of,” Mr. Hoylman said.

Similar legislation was passed by the New Jersey State Assembly, and Ms. Savino said she’d be watching the progress of the neighboring state closely. which is why everybody should lobby in NJ to stop this bill She’ll also take lessons from her lengthy push to pass medical marijuana, she said.

“Lesson number one: pay attention to your colleagues. Their opinions count,” she said. “Also, there’s a very distinct possibility that this could be a multi-year bill. I’m prepared for that.” which means we also have to prepare for that.

Dov Hikind Sponsors Bill Exempting Students From Gay Propaganda In Schools

Hikind Sponsored this bill on behalf of a regular reader of this blog (with no affiliation to any politically Mainstream Orthodox orginazation) that asked to remain anonymous

To understand what this proposed law does understand that everything in lower case letters is the current law, and capital letters are what (the best of all the assemblyman that currently represent the Jewish community) Assemblyman Dov Hikind is adding to the current-law to lessen the evilness of the law so religious people will not be subjected to anti religious indoctrination (I'm going to bold part of the old law and proposed law that are particularly important) (bracketed section is being taken out)

S 801-a. Instruction in civility, citizenship and character education.
The regents shall ensure that the course of instruction in grades
kindergarten through twelve includes a component on civility, citizen-
ship and character education. Such component shall instruct students on
the principles of honesty, tolerance, personal responsibility, respect
for others, with an emphasis on discouraging acts of harassment, bully-
ing, discrimination, observance of laws and rules, courtesy, dignity and
other traits which will enhance the quality of their experiences in, and
contributions to, the community. Such component shall include instruc-
tion of safe, responsible use of the internet and electronic communi-
cations. The regents shall determine how to incorporate such component
in existing curricula and the commissioner shall promulgate any regu-
lations needed to carry out such determination of the regents. For the
purposes of this section, "tolerance," "respect for others" and "digni-
ty" shall include awareness and sensitivity to harassment, bullying,
discrimination and civility [in the relations of] WITH AN EMPHASIS ON
DISCOURAGING ACTS OF BULLYING AND WITH OUT REGARD TO THE REASONING FOR
THEIR BEING BULLIED, TOWARD ALL STUDENTS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO
people of different races, weights, national origins, ethnic groups,
religions, religious practices, mental or physical abilities, sexual
orientations, genders, and sexes. ANY STUDENT, PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN,
EXPRESSING A MORAL OR RELIGIOUS OBJECTION TO THIS COURSE OF INSTRUCTION
IN THIS SECTION, SHALL BE PROVIDED THE OPPORTUNITY TO UNDERTAKE AND
COMPLETE AN ALTERNATIVE PROJECT THAT SHALL BE APPROVED BY SUCH STUDENT'S
TEACHER. STUDENTS WHO PERFORM ALTERNATIVE PROJECTS WHO DO NOT ATTEND
THIS COURSE OF INSTRUCTION SHALL NOT BE PENALIZED. THE BOARD OF EDUCA-
TION OR TRUSTEES OF A SCHOOL DISTRICT SHALL DEVELOP A POLICY TO GIVE
REASONABLE NOTICE TO ALL STUDENTS ENROLLED IN THIS COURSE OF INSTRUC-
TION, AND STUDENTS' PARENTS OR LEGAL GUARDIANS ABOUT THEIR RIGHTS. SUCH
NOTICE SHALL BE MADE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST AT THE SCHOOL AND DISTRIB-
UTED TO ALL PARENTS AND STUDENTS. NOTHING IN THIS SECTION SHALL APPLY TO
PRIVATE, CHARTER, RELIGIOUS OR DENOMINATIONAL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS.
(remember bolds/underlines are for emphasis, lower case letters are the old law, capital letters are the new proposed additions, bracketed section is taken out)

1. Notice the original law (NOT the one that Dov Hikind is sponsoring) has gender, and sexes implying they are 2 separate things
2.  Notice the original law (NOT the one that Dov Hikind is sponsoring) never says anything against bullying for reasons besides the 11 stated reason (height, accent, athletic ability etc.) showing that the only reason it was sponsored was for gay propaganda in schools and the anti-bullying was just a ruse (excuse to pass the law) In short it's 100% OK  legally to bully someone in NY for their height
3. the original law (NOT the one that Dov Hikind is sponsoring) was vague (it's currently interpited as not applying to non public school, but unfortunately that could change in a few years time) as to whether this applies to private school (including Yeshivas)
3. Dov Hikind proposed law would allow children and parents the right to freedom of religion and be excused from a pro-homosexuality curriculum.
4. Dov Hikind's proposed law would make it that this law will be less about the 11 stated reasons for bullying (including homosexuality) and more about not bullying period
5. Dov Hikind's proposed law would make it that people who are not from the 11 protected class (height, accent, athletic ability etc.) are also protected lessening the gay propaganda in this bill and truly making it more to bullying (which the state was supposedly trying to protect us from)
6. Dov Hikind's proposed law would make it clear that only public schools are required to teach this bullying course that includes homosexuality and not Yeshivas.

If you think this law is not necessary remember this story
11 Years old Girls Required To Ask To Kiss Others Girls Due To New York Law
Young girls at a New York middle school were instructed to ask one another for a lesbian kiss and boys were given guidance on how to tell if women are sluts during an anti-bullying presentation on gender identity and sexual orientation, angry parents allege.

Coon told Fox News that her daughter was upset by the classroom lecture and was confused about why she had to ask another girl for a kiss.

She told me, ‘Mom, we all get teased and picked on enough – now I’m going to be called a lesbian because I had to ask another girl if I could kiss her,’” Coon said.

She said the school told her that the purpose of the lesson was to “teach girls boundaries and how to say no.”

They also picked two girls to stand in front of the class and pretend they were lesbians on a date,” Coons said. (click to read our previous coverage of this story)

How come Simcha Felder does not sponsor the same bill in the Senate?
How come not a single member of the New York Assembly including the "orthodox" ones co-sponsor this urgent bill?

Dov Hikind's Wife Supports Erick Salgado For Mayor!

Erick Salgado's Petition
Blown up

Dov Hikind endorsed pro gay "marriage", UFT endorsed candidate Bill Thompson for mayor "based" on "education".  We respectfully ask Dov to from now on listen to his wife on all political decisions.

Dov Hikind said regarding his Thompson endorsement ”The bottom line is this: I support people who I think are going to be best. I don’t look at poll numbers.”   Dov seems to have confused himself with his wife!
