Northern Ireland Defeats Attempt To Allow Same Gender "Marriage"

Pro gay marriage and Amnesty International protesters picket Stormont, home of the Northern Ireland assembly
Using TV Characters In Ireland to Promote Same Gender "Marriage"

Final Vote Was
For Real Marriage
For Marriage Redefinition
Gay marriage has been defeated in Northern Ireland following a block vote of major Unionist parties against it.

Sinn Fein introduced the bill in the Northern Irish Assembly and had the backing of the SDLP the other main nationalist party, the Alliance Party, and the Green Party. Three independent unionists also voted for it.
However the combined unionist vote of the Democratic Unionist Party and the Ulster Unionist party defeated the bill by 50 to 45.

Pro-gay marriage advocates now expect a court challenge against the ban in both Britain and at the European Court on the grounds that it is allowed elsewhere in the United Kingdom, reports the Guardian.
Amnesty International stated the prospects of a gay couple taking a legal case to the European Court of Human Rights is now a distinct possibility.

Sinn Féin
Assembly member for South Down Caitriona Ruane stated: "Attitudes in Ireland are changing because people do not want to see people discriminated against.
"The gay community has said enough is enough. They are standing up for themselves and their communities."
She claimed young gay people were turning to suicide because of rampant discrimination and bullying. "If they don't have an alternative voice to the vitriolic gay-bashing they will internalise it," she said.

All the main churches, Protestant and Catholic, opposed the bill. But the gay Christian lobby group “Changing Attitudes Ireland” condemned the unionist veto.

Church of Ireland minister Canon Charles Kenny, the secretary of Changing Attitudes Ireland, stated: "The year is drawing nearer when the love and justice expressed in the gospels will win out and sweep away the faith-based prejudice against gay and lesbian couples."

Democratic Unionist finance minister Sammy Wilson said the unionist parties would always vote to defeat "reckless" legislation.

DC Comics Makes A Gay Transgendered Character In Order To Brainwash Children

Dc Comics Transgender Batgirl
DC Comics Using Comics to promote Homosexuality

DC Comics has introduced a new lesbian, gay, transgender and bisexual (LGBT) friendly character: Alysia Yeoh, the transgender roommate of Batgirl.

Comic fans were introduced to Alysia in "Batgirl" #19, which hit shelves on Wednesday, according to Wired. She is the first transgender character in mainstream comics, and she reveals that she is trans during a conversation with Barbara Gordon (Batgirl) in the pages of the new issue. The character is also bisexual.

Writer Gail Simone told Wired she was inspired by the fans to develop a character like Alysia. "Why was this so impossible?" she asked herself at the time. "Why in the world can we not do a better job of representation of not just humanity, but also our own loyal audience?”

Simone explained to Wired that breaking down barriers in the comic book world is a process. "[A]lmost all the tentpoles we build our industry upon were created over a half century ago… at a time where the characters were almost without exception white, cis-gendered, straight, on and on," she said. "It’s fine — it’s great that people love those characters. But if we only build around them, then we look like an episode of 'The Andy Griffith Show' for all eternity.”

After the big reveal, some questioned if Alysia is in fact the first openly transgender character in comics.
Comic blog Bleeding Cool notes that there have been multiple transgender characters in the past -- like Masquerade from 1993's "Blood Syndicate" or Marisa Rahm from "Death Wish" -- but many of these were either not outwardly identified as transgender or the issues themselves were labeled mature content/alternative, as opposed to mainstream.

DC's inclusion of LGBT characters has been moving ahead at full steam recently.  In February, Batwoman proposed to her girlfriend, Captain Maggie Sawyer, in the first-ever lesbian "marriage" proposal in comic history.

All of this comes on the heels of controversy surrounding DC tapping anti-gay writer Orson Scott Card to co-author the "Adventures of Superman" #1 digital short. A petition to get Card booted from the project has since gathered over 17,000 signatures. However, DC stood by the Ender's Game author, and the issue is set to be released on May 29.

Late Term Abortion Doctor Admits To Allowing Babies Who Survived A Abortion To Die

"Dr". Cesare Santangelo (Washington DC.) on if a baby survives an abortion
“Technically – you know, legally we would be obligated to help it, you know, to survive.  But, you know, it probably wouldn’t.  It’s all in how vigorously you do things to help a fetus survive at this point.  Let’s say you went into labor, the membranes ruptured, and you delivered before we got to the termination part of the procedure here, you know?  Then we would do things – we would – we would not help it.  We wouldn’t intubate.

This comes shortly after the Alisa LaPolt Snow, the lobbyist representing the Florida Alliance of Planned Parenthood Affiliates, testified that her organization believes the decision to kill an infant who survives a failed abortion should be left up to the woman seeking an abortion and her abortion doctor.

here's a article from the (Washington Post)
WASHINGTON — An anti-abortion group that mounted a six-month undercover investigation has released videos this week that raise questions about what might happen to a baby as a result of an unsuccessful abortion.

One edited video features a Washington, D.C., doctor, Cesare Santangelo, who said that in the unlikely event that an abortion results in a live birth, “we would not help it.” Santangelo was answering repeated questions from an undercover operative about what would happen, hypothetically, if she gave birth after an unsuccessful abortion.

“I mean, technically, you know, legally, we would be obligated to help it, you know, to survive, but . . . it probably wouldn’t,” Santangelo is shown telling the woman, who was 24 weeks pregnant. “It’s all in how vigorously you do things to help a fetus survive at this point.”

In an interview with The Washington Post, Santangelo said he was trying to reassure the woman, who turned out to be an undercover operative of the group, Live Action. In reality, he said, he would call 9-1-1. But he said he stands by what he said on tape.

“What I said is, basically I wouldn’t do anything extraordinary,” he said Saturday. “We would call EMS. We would call 9-1-1. But I wouldn’t do intubation or anything. . . . You let nature take its course.”

The videos do not depict Santangelo doing anything illegal. Live Action provided an advance copy of the video, and other extended footage of the D.C. clinic encounter, to The Post on the condition that it not be published before Monday. Also on the extended tape is a nurse saying unequivocally that the clinic would take any live birth to a hospital. Under D.C. law, it is generally permissible for one party to a conversation to record it without consent.

Live Action plans to release more videos as part of a campaign targeting clinics that perform abortions late in pregnancy, also known as “late-term” abortions. It claims the videos show that abortion doctors are willing to kill babies in violation of the federal Born-Alive Infants Protection Act of 2002, which requires them to try to save a child born during a failed abortion using the same measures used in miscarriages or preterm births at the same stage of pregnancy.

No authorities have accused Santangelo of violating the law. His attorney, Alfred Belcuore, said the doctor practices medicine in full compliance with laws in the District of Columbia. In a statement, he criticized the recording of “a private exchange between a physician and his patient” and their release as an “outrageous intrusion upon the doctor-patient relationship.”

Live Action president Lila Rose said the group’s videos expose “truly gruesome, illegal and inhuman practices.” She defended the tactics, saying undercover investigations are a powerful method to expose abuses.

Another video released Sunday shows an unidentified worker in the New York City borough of the Bronx, saying the clinic would put the baby in a jar of “solution” that would cause it to stop breathing.
Marjana Banzil, director of the Bronx clinic, said Friday she had not viewed the video but that any employee who would say such a thing was misinformed.

“I have never had any fetus that was born alive,” she said. “If my staff member or somebody had mentioned something [like that], it was something they didn’t understand.” Live Action is calling for investigations of the Washington Surgi-Clinic and Dr. Emily Woman’s Health Center in the Bronx.

Experts say it is exceedingly rare for a live birth to result from an abortion attempt. Santangelo and other doctors said they have never witnessed it. But interest in the subject has been rekindled during the trial of Philadelphia doctor Kermit Gosnell, who is accused of snipping the spines of living babies after they were removed from their mothers’ bodies.

The group outfitted three women between 23 and 26 weeks pregnant with tiny cameras and sent them to 18 clinics pretending to seek abortions. They were unable to gain access to other clinics because of scheduling conflicts and because they were too far along in their pregnancies. Rose said the women were recruited and paid between $1,000 and $2,500.

The videos come at a time of particular upheaval over abortion. Several states have passed laws severely restricting access to the procedure, which abortion rights groups have challenged or intend to in court. Many of those laws target early-stage pregnancy, but in recent years, late-term abortions have been more controversial. Most states have some restrictions on late abortions, according to the Guttmacher Institute, a nonprofit reproductive health research center.

More than 88 percent of the 1.2 million abortions performed each year in the United States are done in the first trimester, and most doctors will not perform them beyond 24 weeks because of moral qualms, legal concerns or lack of experience. Barely 1 percent of procedures — perhaps about 15,000 each year — are done after 21 weeks. At 37 weeks, a baby is generally considered full-term. No group has statistics on how many fetuses survive an abortion, experts said.

But it can happen when doctors use suppositories to help open a woman’s cervix days before the abortion. The suppositories can, in rare instances, trigger labor.

Bonnie Hope Arzuaga, a Chicago neonatologist who co-wrote a 2011 study in the journal Pediatrics that looked at the limits of viability, said the lack of clarity in the federal Born-Alive law often leaves the decision up to the states and the individual doctor.

“You have to use your professional judgment, you have to use ethical principles, and a lot of times law and ethics don’t agree,” she said. “People don’t realize that physical intervention to resuscitate a 23-week-old infant can cause major damage to its lungs and brain.”

When patients with wanted pregnancies deliver prematurely at 23 to 26 weeks, she gives the woman or parents a choice, laying out what may be in the best interest of the baby and its quality of life. “Do they want us to ‘do everything,’ or do they want us to provide comfort care, wrap the baby in a blanket and let them hold it until it passes away?”

Live Action was founded by Rose, a former associate of conservative activist James O’Keefe, whose controversial stings contributed to the demise of the liberal group ACORN. She has used similar techniques in her campaign against Planned Parenthood, employing actors to pose as prostitutes and pimps in an effort to provoke clinic workers into condoning child sex trafficking or sex-selective abortions.

Santangelo, 56, said he’s been a practicing obstetrician-gynecologist in the District since 1987. He said he keeps a low profile, partly because he worries that the controversial nature of abortions could make him a target for violence, but also because he prefers to stay out of the politics. He said he sometimes refuses late-term abortions if he feels women have been coerced or are in extramarital affairs, are seeking to terminate because of the sex of the child, or if they seem unsure that they want the procedure.

He said he views what he does as a service because some are victims of rape and incest. The majority are women with wanted but abnormal pregnancies.

When a patient is seeking a late-term abortion, he said, he will insert a suppository to open her cervix. Two days later, he said, he completes the procedure by cutting the umbilical cord until the cord stops pulsing. Then he removes the fetus. He said he has never had a live birth during an abortion.

He said he was “tripped up” by a hypothetical at a moment when he was trying to reassure a client. “Once the baby is born, it’s out of everybody’s hands, and the baby has rights, too,” he said. “I understand that and I support that.”

He said he has not watched the video because “I don’t like to feed into these people. I really consider them terrorists.”

Gay NY State Senator Wants To Ban Conversion Therapy, No Word Yet On Abortion

New York State Senator Brad Hoylman introduced legislation to ban gay conversion therapy for those under the age of 18.

It remains to be seen if he will also ban Abortion for a minor!
or at least force a parental consent or notification.

ALBANY - The state Senate’s only openly gay lawmaker wants to outlaw a controversial therapy that attempts to make gay youth straight.

Legislation introduced Friday by Sen. Brad Hoylman (D-Manhattan) would bar mental health providers from trying to change the sexual orientation of anyone under the age of 18.

If enacted, a licensed mental health provider who ignored the law would be cited for unprofessional conduct and subject to licensing sanctions.
Hoylman will co-sponsor the bill in the Senate with Michael Gianaris (D-Queens). It is being carried in the Assembly by Deborah Glick, a Manhattan Democrat who is a lesbian.

Conversion therapy has been rejected by many in the mental health community.

Hoylman, who is "married" to a man and has a two-year-old daughter, said the controversial treatment is not good for the individual or society.

“It not only is impossible, but it is detrimental to young people to attempt to convert them,” he said.
It also increases the stigma in society and creates a culture of unacceptance for young gay and lesbian people,” Hoylman added.

California last year enacted a similar law barring the controversial therapy, but the measure is on hold while it’s being challenged in the courts.

The Rev. Jason McGuire, executive director of New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms, doesn’t believe a New York law would pass legal or ethical muster.

“I simply believe that those in the homosexual community should recognize that there is a significant population in that community that want to leave that lifestyle and pursue a heterosexuality lifestyle,” McGuire said. “People should respect their choice to pursue that.”

Asking Girls To Kiss, How It Did Happen, The History Of The Dignity For All Students Act Part 1

Gov. Paterson was in Manhattan Sunday for the Gay Pride Parade.
David Paterson who signed the law on Erev Rosh Hashana that forced gay teaching into schools

As we previously reported girls in school in Upstate NY were required to ask one another for a lesbian kiss based on the so called "Dignity For All Students Act".

The most objectionable part of the law, is the following section which forces all schools to teach pro gay propaganda. (possibly even private and religious schools)  This law was the basis for telling middle schools girls to kiss each other.  (The capital letters are the new laws which the Dignity For All Students Act added to the previous law, that which is underlined is for emphasis)
S 801-a. Instruction in civility, citizenship and character education.
The regents shall ensure that the course of instruction in grades
kindergarten through twelve includes a component on civility, citizen
ship and character education. Such component shall instruct students on
the principles of honesty, tolerance, personal responsibility, respect
for others, observance of laws and rules, courtesy, dignity and other
traits which will enhance the quality of their experiences in, and
contributions to, the community. The regents shall determine how to
incorporate such component in existing curricula and the commissioner
shall promulgate any regulations needed to carry out such determination

This bill including this section was first proposed in 2001 with former Assemblyman Steve Sanders sponsoring it in the Assembly and the former gay state senator Thomas Duane sponsoring it in the assembly.  When Steve Sanders retired, gay assemblyman Daniel O'Donnell (the lesbian actress Rosie O'Donnell brother) sponsored the bill in his place.

The bill was voted and passed 9 times in the assembly (never having more than 9 people voting against it) before it passed the senate.  On April 29th 2010, the NY City Council sponsored a resolution calling upon the New York State Legislature to pass the "Dignity For All Students Act".

2 people (Daniel Squadron, and Letitia James) currently running for Public Advocate of New York City supported this evil bill.

NY Post Defends Orthodox Jews Right To Have Store Dress Codes

"discriminatory" sign that Michael Bloomberg is against!
Is City Hall about to take action against the dress codes at Manhattan’s top-flight restaurants?
Of course not. And that only underscores the hypocrisy that all too often animates this administration.

Because the city is going after Hasidic-owned store-owners who ask their patrons to dress modestly.
The city’s Commission on Human Rights has cited seven small stores in the Hasidic section of Williamsburg for discrimination. Their offense? Posting signs that read: “No Shorts, No Barefoot, No Sleeveless, No Low Cut Necklines Allowed in the Store.” Which is no different than restaurants requiring men to wear a jacket and tie — or a pizzeria posting a sign reading “No shirt, no shoes, no service.”

The city disagrees, and is suing the shops. Cliff Mulqueen, the commission’s general counsel, explained to The Jewish Week that while “dress codes are OK . . . telling someone they have to abide by certain rules of the Jewish faith crosses the line into [establishing] a protected class.”

But again, that’s not what the signs say. And the city hasn’t found a single person refused service because of his attire.

Here’s the operative distinction: Anyone turned away from these stores for his or her dress can change clothes and be admitted. Anyone denied service because of his or her race, religion or gender can’t do that.
The commission took action after The Post first reported the signs last July. At the time, a top official of the city Law Department said the signs appeared to be OK.

The good news is that the case has now attracted the attention and support of a top law firm, Kirkland & Ellis, which is representing the shop-owners pro bono. Notably, the firm is citing important First Amendment religious-liberty issues.

The city would do us all a favor if it limited its authorities to fighting genuine discrimination under the law — not inventing it where it doesn’t exist.

Rosh Yeshiva Of Mir, Rav Avrohom Yaakov Nelkenbaum Gives A Shiur On Why It's A Mitvah To Vote For Morality

Last night there was a fundraiser for mayor candidate Erick Salgado.

The rabbis who spoke were as follows:

The first speaker was the Mir Rosh Yeshiva, Rav Avrohom Yaakov Nelkenbaum, who missed seder to speak.

He applied the Gemara in Shabbos daf 54B (kol me sheyaish biyado limchos, veainoh moche, nitfas beoso avon  If someone has it in his power to protest and prevent someone from doing a transgression and he doesn't, he's also punished for that transgression) to voting for pro morality candidates.

He provided an additional insight, based on a vort from Rav Shmuel Berenbaum ZT"L, on the Rashi in Netzavim (Dev. 29:16-17) "vatiru es shkutiem v'ais gelulahem" - "and you saw the their disgusting thing and dung like idols... (and you'll be draw after those idolatries).  Rav Shmuel asked: why would you be drawn after such disgusting things?  He explained that when you see other people doing things - even disgusting things - you think that if everybody else is doing it, then there must be something to it.  So too, we, in the Jewish community, are affected by our surroundings.

He ended by reminding people that both Bob Turner and David Storobin "had no chance", but God runs the world - and they won.

The next speaker was Rabbi Auziel Admony, assistant Rabbi of Bnai Yosef Torah Center, who spoke. He said "This is not considered a political event. It's a religion issue. It's a religious obligation
to be here tonight and support the campaign of Mr. Salgado."  Afterwords Rabbi Admony gave Erick a 100$ check for his campaign.

The next speaker was Rabbi Beni Rachmanov, a Bukharian Rabbi in Queens. He compared Jews in America today to Jews in Spain before the expulsion.

Finally Rabbi Romi Cohen a Holocaust survivor and noted mohel described how he came to this country - specifically because the first amendment guarantees freedom of religion - a liberty currently under assault.  He ended off by describing Mishkav Zachar as the avariah of the flood (Bereishis Rabbah 26-9)

11 Years old Girls Required To Ask To Kiss Others Girls Due To New York Law

If this law was to prevent bullying then how come Miss Coon feels bulled solely because of this law?

To see how this law came in to being and who's responsible for it click here, you may have just voted for the person who voted for the law.

Middle School Anti-Bullying Lesson Includes Lesbian Role Play

Apr 18, 2013
By Todd Starnes
Young girls at a New York middle school were instructed to ask one another for a lesbian kiss and boys were given guidance on how to tell if women are sluts during an anti-bullying presentation on gender identity and sexual orientation, angry parents allege.

The special health class was held last week at Linden Avenue Middle School in Red Hook, NY. The students were separated by gender – with students from Bard College leading the workshops.
Parents are especially furious after their young daughters were told that it was perfectly normal for 14-year-old girls to have sex and there was nothing their parents could do to intervene.
The boys and girls were also given a sexual vocabulary primer – that included words like “pansexual” and “genderqueer.”
“I am furious,” said Mandy Coon, whose daughter was in the class. “I am her parent. Where does anyone get the right to tell her that it’s okay for her to have sex?”

Coon told Fox News that her daughter was upset by the classroom lecture and was confused about why she had to ask another girl for a kiss.
She told me, ‘Mom, we all get teased and picked on enough – now I’m going to be called a lesbian because I had to ask another girl if I could kiss her,’” Coon said.
She said the school told her that the purpose of the lesson was to “teach girls boundaries and how to say no.”
They also picked two girls to stand in front of the class and pretend they were lesbians on a date,” Coons said.

Paul Finch, the superintendent of the Red Hook Central School District, told the Poughkeepsie Journal that the workshop focused on “improving culture, relationships, communication and self-perceptions.”
He told the newspaper those were issues the school was obligated to teach under the state’s "Dignity for All Students Act".
The state law requires schools to create a safe and supportive environment free from discrimination, intimidation, taunting, harassment and bullying, the newspaper reported.
Parents said they were not notified about the class or the subject matter.
“The school is overstepping its bounds in not notifying parents first and giving us the choice,” parent Tara Burns told Fox News. “I thought it was very inappropriate. That kind of instruction is best left up to the parents.”
Parents of male students were also upset after the college-aged lecturer discussed items like condom usage and whether girls are sluts.
“I was absolutely furious – really furious,” said the parent of a 13-year-old who asked not to be identified. “They were teaching the boys how to decipher if a girl is a slut.”
The parent said the boys were told you could make that determination by how girls dress or how many boys they date.
“We don’t judge people like that in our family,” she said. “We don’t call women names because of what they wear or who they date.”
The parent told Fox News that boys were also instructed to always have a condom in their wallet.
“These are just kids,” she said. “I’m dumbfounded that they found this class was appropriate.”
Coon wondered why the school district allowed college students to lead the workshops without teacher involvement.
“Those student were not licensed, they are not trained professionals,” she said.

Sarah Bradshaw (845-437-4811)
RED HOOK — Some parents are questioning the appropriateness of an anti-bullying presentation on sexual orientations and gender identities given recently to eighth-graders.
Among their complaints: Bard College students weren’t a suitable choice to speak at Linden Avenue Middle School, and parents should have been notified in advance of Thursday’s health class lesson, according to Journal interviews and dozens of social media posts.

Paul Finch, superintendent of the Red Hook Central School District, told the Journal that the workshop focused on improving culture, relationships, communication and self-perceptions. These are issues schools are obligated to address under New York’s Dignity for All Students Act, he noted. Future workshops of a similar nature “may require more notification to parents,” he said.

Mandy Coon, a mother of an eighth-grade student, said she thought the district was infringing on her role as the parent.
“The whole thing just baffles me,” she said. “If they are required to have this course, why are they bringing in other unlicensed, untrained professionals — college kids — to teach this?”
Bard College spokesman Mark Primoff said the students were volunteers who were invited by the middle school to give a workshop on communication.

Effective in July, the Dignity for All Students Act represents the state’s effort to create a safe and supportive environment, free from discrimination, intimidation, taunting, harassment and bullying.
Finch said that Linden Avenue Principal Katie Zahedi and guidance counselors worked with a group of Bard students to develop the workshop, including role-playing on how to say no to unwanted social pressures.
In addition to learning vocabulary such as “pansexual” and “genderqueer,” the girls were told to request a kiss from a female peer, Coon said. Her 14-year-old daughter told her it was awkward and uncomfortable, she said.

On a Facebook forum for parents, Zahedi said the exercise was “not to pretend to be gay” but to practice saying “no” to unwarranted advances.
“In planning the discussion, we made it clear that absolutely no discussion of any sexual acts is appropriate to middle school, and they used the examples of a kiss,” she wrote. “It was a separate activity for boys and girls and ultimately about respect and safety.”
A public meeting was held Tuesday night at the school to address parents’ concerns.

20th Year Anniversary Of The Gay Manifesto

Jerry Nadler telling Orthodox Jews "they can go sliding down to hell on their butts"

On April 25, 1993 the toevanicks had a rally called "The March on Washington for Lesbian, Gay, and Bi Equal Rights and Liberation" where they made official list of demands.  Many "noted" politicians attended including Congressman Jerry Nadler, David Dinkins, and Nancy Pelosi.  Also attending was Rev. Jesse Jackson (of hymietown fame). The National Park Service estimated attendance at 300,000, however non surprisingly organizers of the event claimed 1,000,000 attended the March.

here is the full list of their demands. Notice how much they wanted then, and how much they got because they pushed hard and voted the "right" way.  The scary part now that they practically got all they originally wanted what will they put on their next platform.

Chicago To Teach Sex To Your 5 Year Old, And Homosexuality to Your 10 Year Old

The Chicago Board of Education recently passed a new policy that requires sex education to begin in kindergarten, mandating that a set amount of time be spent on sex education in every grade.

All this is being done, while the graduation rate for for Chicago Public School students is barely over 60% (the National Avg is around 75%).

The new policy, which was passed in February, according to ABC News, is part of a broader makeover of the school district’s sexual health program. Sometime within the next two years, students in every grade, including kindergarten, will be required to spend a certain amount of time on "sex education".

The mandated sex-ed for Chicago kindergartners will include instruction about male and female anatomy and reproduction. Though it’s not clear exactly how much the 5 and 6-year olds will be told on the act itself.
By the time students get to third and fourth grade, the focus will include some good things like appropriate and inappropriate touching, as well as puberty and HIV/AIDS.

Coursework from fifth grade to 12th grades will concentrate on sexually-transmitted diseases and contraception. Abstinence will reportedly be presented as a possible method of birth control. Homosexuality, gender identity and bullying related to those things will also be part of the curriculum at some point from fifth grade to 12th grade, as well.

“It is important that we provide students of all ages with accurate and appropriate information so they can make healthy choices in regards to their social interactions, behaviors and relationships,” Chicago Public Schools CEO Barbara Byrd-Bennett said in a statement.

CPS says more than half of its high school students are having sex. Cook County ranks number one in the country for sexually transmitted diseases and the U.S. has one of the highest teenage pregnancy rates in the world.

"I just don't think it's appropriate," says Melissa Diebold. "I don't think it's age appropriate. They have no concept of anything like that at that stage in life."
"CPS shouldn't take control of someone else's children like that with our sex education," says Mark Macklan. "That's how I feel."
Mikkel Nance believes sex-ed should begin at home but also welcomes schools getting involved, early on.
"He's in second grade, and we've had introductory conversation on how things work, and how body works," Nance says. "I do applaud CPS for trying to talk to children early the only concern is how they implement it, and if they involved parents in that process and if they do so they'll make that transition smoothly.

In other countries, like Holland, sex ed begins at 4 years old. Sexologist, Dr. Rachael Ross says it's about time for the U.S.
"The parents are kind of in denial about what's happening," Dr. Ross says. "You know, in urban populations, the average age that kids start to have sex is between 13 and 14."

For the first time in Chicago, sex-ed instruction will cover sexual orientation and gender identity. Students will be introduced to terms and definitions associated with sexual identity, including those related to heterosexual and LGBT populations, in an effort to bring awareness, promote "tolerance" and prevent bullying, said the school board.

Parents can remove their children from the sexual health education program if they want, but the apparent default is for kindergartners to learn about sex.

Chicago’s public school system is the nation’s third-largest school district, with approximately 431,000 students.

Poll Show TV Has Brainwashed People In Favor Of Same Gender "Marriage"

These are findings from an Ipsos poll conducted from Monday, April 1 – Sunday, April 7, 2013 using Ipsos MediaCT’s TV Dailies survey among a nationwide sample of 1,096 persons aged 13-64 who watch primetime TV at least two nights a week.

“Based on this data, I think we can conclude that TV has, at least in part, moved the needle of public opinion to see same-sex "marriage" in a "positive" way,” says Ben Spergel, Senior Vice President and Head of TV Insights at Ipsos MediaCT. “With everything from higher profile portrayals of gay characters, to celebrity support of gay "marriage", to last year’s groundbreaking endorsement by President Obama, we are seeing a shift in our culture that is being influenced by popular culture.”

David Greenfield Has No Problem With Christine Quinn, But Does With Anthony Weiner (Audio Clip)

While Ezra Friedlander's betrayal of the Jewish community by supporting the militant "married" lesbian surprises no one, it Seems City Councilman David Greenfield might also be supporting Christine Quinn.  Why else would he jump all over a non political jew's support of Anthony Weiner because of immorality but not over a "askan" like Ezra Friedlander's support of a "married" lesbian.

Also David Greenfield's appointee to head Community Board 12, Yidel Perlstein has already indicated support for Christine Quinn.

Deadly Meningitis Outbreak Among Gays (Homosexual Relations Are Dangerous)

Deadly meningitis outbreak among gays worries officials

A deadly bacterial meningitis outbreak striking gay men in New York City is unlikely to abate any time soon, New York City health officials warn. The disease has sickened 22 and killed seven NYC men over the last two years.

After four cases of meningococcal disease among gay men were reported in Los Angeles county in recent months, there were concerns that the New York City outbreak had spread, but public health officials in Los Angeles and New York say the strains are not connected.

The New York City outbreak has been linked to parties, online websites or apps that men used to find other men for "close or intimate sexual contact," according to health officials. But for more than half of the men sickened by meningitis, there was no evidence that the men had used any of these means to encounter other men, according to public health officials.

The specific strain linked to all the cases in New York City is part of serogroup C. It’s the same strain that first surfaced when a woman came down with meningitis in New York City back in 2003. The speed in which meningitis kills has complicated the search for people at risk.

In New York, “we’ve had several cases who have been actually found dead in their apartment before they’d even gone to see a medical provider. So that is, to us, absolutely terrifying,"  Dr. Jay Varma, the New York City Deputy Commissioner for Disease Control in the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, told The Edge Boston in early March.

Last week, health officials in West Hollywood, Calif. warned members of the public to be alert after the death of Brett Shaad, 33, from meningitis infection. Three other cases of meningitis, including two deaths, had been identified among Los Angeles-area gay men since November.
Public health officials in Los Angeles are being careful not to cause alarm. “Right now we do not have an outbreak of meningococcal disease in LA County,” Dr. Jonathan Fielding, director of Public Health for the Los Angeles County Health Department, told NBC, citing outbreak definition requirements from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Shaad, an otherwise healthy lawyer, died within a week of developing symptoms. Elizabeth Ashford, a spokesperson for the family, expressed concern that the fact that Shaad was gay has been used to unfairly target him and others affected with meningitis. Allegations that Shaad was involved in any parties or other risqué activity are false, Ashford said.  “This is not a gay disease, but this is a deadly disease and that is why people should be conscientious about this disease,” she said.

Initially, meningitis symptoms may resemble the flu, with worsening headache, vomiting, and a sudden high fever (over 101.3). Over hours to days, patients develop difficulty thinking and may fall into a coma.

Meningococcal disease, caused by the bacteria Neisseria meningitidis, infects the lining around the brain. Once someone becomes sick, without treatment it is always fatal -- even with treatment, up to a third of patients die, Fielding said. There is a vaccine that can prevent illness, and both the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene have listed clinics offering free vaccines on their websites.

Varma is concerned the outbreak is getting worse. There were a total of thirteen known cases of bacterial meningitis among men last year (triple the total in 2011). But already in the first three months of 2013, four men have been hit, not including Shaad and others in Los Angeles.
“Normally people think of an outbreak as a lot of people getting sick at one point in time – but here the number of cases is much higher than we normally expect,” said Varma.

The rate of meningitis in gay men in New York City has spiked to 60 times higher than their straight counterparts. Last fall health officials advised vaccination for some HIV-positive men, but recently expanded the recommendation to include all gay men statewide who have “traveled to the City” and “met through an online website, digital application ("app"), or at a bar or party” since September 1, 2012.

“Many people are scared,” said Anthony Fortenberry, the director of nursing at Callen-Lorde Community Health Center, which serves New York’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities.
Reports of a strange illness affecting gay men in two major cities may conjure images of the early years of AIDS -- as well as the stigma that surrounded patients with HIV. But experts are quick to note the differences, especially since meningitis infection can be stopped.

Dr. Mike Osterholm, the director of the University of Minnesota’s Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy, understands the “fear factor,” but “this is very different,” he said. “With HIV/AIDS we never had the hope of eliminating it, we didn’t even know what was causing it initially. This, we know what is causing it. We have vaccines and antibiotics that can greatly reduce or eliminate carriage,” and stop the spread of the disease, Osterholm said.

At first, the meningitis outbreak in New York City seemed to infect only HIV positive men, but by March half of the men sickened were HIV negative. Three of the last five men sickened have died.

It is unclear why the current outbreak, so far, is affecting only gay men. Only two of the men knew each other and there is no evidence they infected each other, Varma said.
“Many of the outbreaks happen in settings where a lot of people live or socialize together, like college dorms or army barracks,” Osterholm said.  “When an outbreak occurs in one of these settings, health officials can track down everyone who lives in the setting, can vaccinate them and provide prophylactic medications.”
Getting the vaccine is not "outing" yourself. “It does not mean you are gay or that someone you know is gay. It is about protecting yourself,” said Fortenberry.
Osterholm agreed. “This has nothing to do with being gay,” he said.
The bacteria is spread by close contact – such as kissing, or sharing a toothbrush, a cigarette or even a coffee cup.
To date an estimated 6,700 people have been vaccinated in New York City since the start of the outbreak;1,182 people in March alone.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention currently recommends that children and teenagers get vaccinated but immunity wanes, leaving most adults unprotected.
Varma warns that the outbreak will likely continue until at-risk men get vaccinated. People interested in getting vaccinated can find clinics through a website run by New York City’s department of health. In Los Angeles, locations for free vaccines for the uninsured can be found here.

ACLU Sues A Religious Florist Who Refused To Supply Flowers For A Gay "Wedding"

Gay Terrorists Strike Again: This time the ACLU

As We Previously Reported A Religious Florist Who Refused To Supply Flowers For A Gay "Wedding"
Was Sued by Washington State.  Now The ACLU of Washington decided to join in the fight to destroy Freedom of Religon.

(Reuters) - A Washington state florist who refused to sell flowers to a gay couple for their wedding has been sued by the American Civil Liberties Union, in the second legal action accusing the vendor of discrimination.  Florist Barronelle Stutzman already faced a consumer protection lawsuit over the incident filed against her last week by state Attorney General Bob Ferguson. She maintained her Christian beliefs prevented her from selling the flowers for the same-sex wedding, according to court papers.
The plaintiffs in the latest lawsuit filed on Thursday are Robert Ingersoll and Curt Freed, who are represented by the American Civil Liberties Union of Washington state.  The couple were longtime customers of Stutzman's southeast Washington state business, Arlene's Flowers, in Richland, their lawsuit said.

The legal battle follows a move by Washington state voters in November to allow gay "marriage", but the ACLU's lawsuit is not based on the legality of same-sex "marriage" in the state.  Instead, it centers on the state's law prohibiting discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, said Doug Honig, spokesman for the ACLU of Washington state.   "Everybody is entitled to their own private religious beliefs and the ACLU respects that strongly," Honig said.   "But a business open to the public cannot use religion as a reason to justify discriminating," he said.

When Ingersoll entered Stutzman's store in March to buy flowers for his upcoming wedding to Freed, Stutzman told him she could not serve him "because of (her) relationship with JC," according to the lawsuit filed last week by the attorney general.

Stutzman's attorney, Justin Bristol, said forcing his client to sell flowers for a gay wedding violated her constitutional rights of freedom of speech, association and religious exercise.

"She is one of the few people left today willing to stand by her convictions rather than compromise her beliefs," Bristol said. "She's a very nice lady and doesn't have a discriminatory bone in her body, but she doesn't want to be forced to participate in an event that she doesn't believe in."

The ACLU lawsuit, unlike the legal action from the attorney general's office, lists Freed and Ingersoll as plaintiffs and seeks damages on their behalf. The attorney general's office seeks fines against the business, but no damages for the two men.

Washington is one of nine states along with the District of Columbia that allow same-sex "marriage".
