Colorado Votes Against Assisted Suicide

(Reuters) - After 10 hours of emotional testimony and debate, Colorado lawmakers late on Friday voted down a proposed assisted-suicide law that would have allowed terminally-ill patients to end their lives with prescription drugs.
By an 8-to-5 bipartisan vote, the so-called "Death with Dignity" bill was rejected by the Public Health and Human Services Committee in the state's House of Representatives. The measure was sponsored by two Democratic lawmakers.
"Supporting a concept and a bill are two different things," said committee chairwoman Dianne Primavera, a Democrat, during the hearing.
The right-to-die movement gained momentum last year after Brittany Maynard - a 29-year-old California woman with terminal brain cancer - went public with her move to Oregon, where assisted suicide is legal, to end her life.
The Colorado proposal would have required two physicians to verify that the patient is terminal, had made both verbal and written statements of their intentions, and was able to self-administer the lethal medications.
Hundreds packed the committee room in Denver, as lawmakers heard testimony from both advocates and opponents of the measure.
Anita Cameron, who said she suffers from multiple disabilities, told the panel that the proposal lacked adequate safeguards.
"Doctors often make mistakes on whether someone is terminal or not," she said, adding that her mother was told six years ago that she had just six months to live.
Lawmakers also heard testimony from a retired Colorado physician, Charles Hatchette, who made a video in support of the measure shortly before he died from complications of Lou Gehrig's disease last month.
"There is more to life than just extending its length," Hatchette said on the video played for lawmakers.
Oregon, Montana, Washington, New Mexico and Vermont allow some form of assisted suicide, and similar legislation is pending in several other states.
A poll conducted last month by Colorado pollster Talmey-Drake Research showed 68 percent of state residents surveyed favored the bill.
On Friday, the Supreme Court of Canada overturned that country's ban on assisted suicide.

If Colorado can vote down assisted suicide so can NY, and NJ!

call your legislator today and tell them to vote against assisted suicide.

Judge Disqualifies Expert Witnesses Who Say Homosexual Orientation Can Be Overcome, Comparing It To Flat Earth Believers

from the decision banning Psychiatrists from testifying that homosexuality is a disorder

N.J. judge bars proponents of gay-to-straight conversion therapy from testifying in fraud trial

TRENTON — Six people who have brought a consumer fraud lawsuit against a Jersey City-based organization that provides gay-to-straight conversion therapy won a key victory this week when a judge barred the defense from calling several of the controversial treatment's proponents as witnesses because they had planned to offer scientifically refuted testimony that homosexuality is an illness.  because politics is the way to decide scientific questions?

State Superior Court Judge Peter F. Bariso Jr., sitting in Hudson County, ruled in a blatantly unconstitutional way that should get him impeached that Jews Offering New Alternatives for Healing or JONAH, would not be able to call as witnesses Joseph Nicolosi, Christopher Doyle, James Phelan, Rabbi Avrohom Stulberger, and John Diggs when the trial gets underway this summer. because the judge who has no understanding of science disagrees with their decision, this judge is thus comparable to the the Catholic church banning Galileo

"The overwhelming weight of scientific authority notice he doesn't say evidence (that is antithetical to to the scientific method) concludes that homosexuality is not a disorder or abnormal," Bariso wrote in a decision released Thursday. "The "universal" acceptance of that scientific conclusion — save for outliers such as JONAH — requires that any expert opinions to the contrary must be barred." what about the former head of the APA (the organization that made that change) ?
(interview with Nicholas Cummings)

"The theory that homosexuality is a disorder is not novel but — like the notion that the earth is flat and the sun revolves around it — instead is outdated and refuted," according to judge's order. I think this guy needs to learn science, according to the scientific method it's impossible to ever refute the that homosexual desires is not immutable
from the court decision's summary of the homo's claim
also from the court decision's summary of the homo's claim

Nicolosi, a psychologist, is the author of A Parent's Guide To Preventing Homosexuality, and the founder of NARTH, the National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality. Phelan is a previous leader of NARTH's scientific advisory committee. Doyle is a conversion therapist if he can prove that he had even 1 patient who successfully changed then science demands that his statement be heard and listened to in Maryland who leads the International Healing Foundation, and was a vocal opponent of legislation in New Jersey that prohibited licensed therapists from treating minors with conversion or reparative therapy. Gov. Chris Christie signed that law in 2013. and was voted on by the so called Orthodox Gary Schaer

A federal appeals court upheld the state ban last year.

Diggs, a physician, was expected to testify that homosexuality is an "unhealthy lifestyle" that will lead to misery and disease the cdc clearly agrees with that one . Stulberger is the dean of Valley Torah High School in California.

In 2012, the Southern Poverty Law Center which declared that a Jewish anti molestation group "Help Rescue Our Children" is a hate group filed the lawsuit on behalf of JONAH clients and two parents of former clients alleging JONAH, its founder Arthur Goldberg, and counselor Alan Downing violated New Jersey's Consumer Fraud Act by using "deceptive practices to lure the plaintiffs into their services," for thousands of dollars a year.

David Dinielli, the law center's deputy legal director, called the judge's decision "a major development in our effort to show that conversion therapy is a complete "sham" masquerading as science."

"Conversion therapy lacks any such basis and its most prominent proponents - including Joseph Nicolosi - hold views that are so discredited that the supposed 'experts' are not even permitted to testify in a court of law," he said. "Proponents of this bogus therapy lack any valid basis except the patients that they helped? for their opinions promoting the abusive practice, yet they continue to scam vulnerable gay people and inflict significant, long-term psychological harm."

Nicholas Cummings affidavit supporting Jonah
Since Cummings is pro homosexuality it shows he doesn't have an agenda

The California-based Freedom of Conscience Defense Fund, which is representing JONAH, did not return a telephone call and emails seeking comment on the judge's decision.

In a 2013 article in the Christian Post, the fund's President and General Counsel Chuck Limandri accused the law center of "grotesquely misusing consumer fraud laws to try to shut down counseling services to Jews with same-sex attraction, and to intimidate other therapists, ministries and service providers across the country. Individuals with same-sex attraction have a right to seek counseling to live their lives as they choose."

The plaintiffs in the case, Michael Ferguson, Benjamin Unger, Sheldon Bruck, Chaim Levin was molested, Bella Levin Chaim's mother and Jo Bruck, are also represented by Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton of New York and Lite DePalma Greenberg of Newark.

How Borough Park Helped Bring Assisted "Suicide" Legislation To New York

After Seymour Lachman left the State Senate The Jewish community had a chance to put in someone who would fight for decency in the senate instead we stayed home and those who voted did so in what looks like a majority for a leftist pig (Diane Savino) who was one of the leading pushers behind same sex "marriage" and now Assisted "Suicide"

look at this map below and ask yourself could the Jewish community have brought out even 5,000 votes for someone decent?
now add in parts of Bensonhurst and Sea Gate and you'll see who is at fault.
Borough Park portion of Savino's 2004 district (click to see entire district which includes parts of Bensonhurst and all of Sea Gate)

Instead we had the Jewish "leaders" support this thing including outgoing state senator Seymour Lachman and Assemblyman Dov Hikind.

From her '04 flyer
"she has the energy, she has the intelligence, she has the integrity and she has the experience to be state senator"     Seymour Lachman  (I hope he has changed his mind since then)

notice that in the 48th and 49th AD's which Jews were most likely majority of the voters Savino actually won

Here are the Staten Island numbers when added together Savino only got 4,621 votes (including Jewish traitors)
When looking at these numbers it's obvious to everyone that we failed miserably and we unfortunately will be held accountable
And for the record just looking at her endorsements and we knew back in 04 that she was terrible.
  • She got the support of the Democratic Socialists of America (page 7) (they only endorsed 4 candidates in the state)
  • She was the only the only candidate who got the working families party line (it was more idealistic (meaning leftist) then too)
  • She was endorsed in the primary by Liz Kruger, and Toby Ann Stovisky 2 of the most leftists in the senate
  • She was endorsed by NARAL (a super pro abortion group)
  • MOST IMPORTANTLY SHE GOT THE ENDORSEMENT OF BROOKLYN'S GAY POLITICAL CLUB

State Senators Look to Introduce ‘Death With Dignity’ Legislation This Month
By Jillian Jorgensen | 01/15/15 9:23am

After a terminally ill woman made headlines when she moved to Oregon so she could end her life under a doctor’s care, two State Senators are hoping to bring a similar law to New York.
“There are only five states in the country that allow for people to make end of life decisions similar to what Oregon does, and New York is not one of them,” former Borough Park State Senator Diane Savino told the Observer.

Brittany Maynard, 29, was suffering from brain cancer when she ended her life November 1 with a lethal dose of secobarbital prescribed by her physician. In New York, doing so would have put her doctor at risk of manslaughter charges, Ms. Savino said. She and State Senator Brad Hoylman want to change that with legislation Ms. Savino said they’d look to introduce by the end of the month.

“I was moved by Brittany’s story. I had seen her videos and felt compelled by the need, if I or any of my loved ones find themselves in a similar situation, to have that choice—and what a wonderful "gift" for her, that she was able to have a modicum of control over her end of life,” Mr. Hoylman told the Observer.

Mr. Hoylman, whose interest in the legislation was first reported by the Daily News, and Ms. Savino said the legislation would be modeled on the law in Oregon, a state Ms. Maynard moved to specifically so she could access its “Death With Dignity” law.

“What we’re looking to do is two things: amend the public health law in New York State to allow patients and doctors and family members of patients? to make end of life decisions that make sense for them, and two, to inoculate doctors who choose to do this from prosecution,” Ms. Savino said.
And Jewish leaders continued to support her

A patient would need to have a terminal illness that was verified by more than one physician, and have a prognosis of fewer than six months. The patient would need to be found to be of sound mind in a mental competency hearing verified by another independent psychologist which is not in Linda Rosenthal's bill (her's only mandates a psychiatric evaluation if a doctor demands it) which is presumably the same bill these 2 plan on sponsoring happens. If the patient met all the criteria, he or she could request in writing to be prescribed the lethal dose of medication.

“What we’ve found in other states that have this now is the vast majority of patients who elect to do so never use the prescription and that only 3% of people had a psychiatric evaluation,” Ms. Savino said, but simply want to know they have that power over their illness. “They have some control over what is an uncontrollable situation.”

The senators are working with "Compassion" and "Choices" who's founder Derek Humphry wrote a guide book on how to commit suicide that actually led to be people committing suicide, the advocacy group that published a video of Maynard discussing her choice to move to Oregon and set a date for the end of her life that put her—and the issue of "aid" in dying legislation—in the spotlight late last year. The group is continuing to lobby on her behalf for similar laws nationwide, along with Maynard’s husband Dan Diaz, who this week gave his first interviews since his wife’s death. Compassion & Choices also lobbied on behalf of another priority of Ms. Savino’s—the medical marijuana law passed last year.

Several years ago I got a call from a suburban police officer who sounded close to distraught.

He and his partner had just finished coming from the apparent suicide of a young woman who died of carbon monoxide poisoning in her family`s garage.
Among the young woman`s possessions, the officer had found a book. The book was called ``Let Me Die Before I Wake.``
``The book appears to be a guide to how to commit suicide,`` the officer said. ``It appears that the young woman may have read it before she killed herself.``
He wanted to know if such a book was legal. He said that it was written by a man named Derek Humphry, who was affiliated with something called the Hemlock Society. The police officer didn`t know if this was some sort of a cult, or what: ``It just seems wrong that people can read this stuff and learn how to kill themselves.``
(Chicago Tribune)

“Compassion & Choices, as Diane proved, is a terrific partner and has a lot of experience in the New York State legislature. That’s why I’m thrilled to partner with Sen. Savino on this issue,” Mr. Hoylman said, also noting Ms. Savino’s ties to leadership as a member of the Democratic Independent Conference which means that this bill might pass if she makes a deal with Dean Skelos who helped pass same sex "marriage" and the rishaim/idiots of the 5 Towns keep electing.

Still, the legislation could face an uphill battle. Many religious groups strongly oppose such measures, and it’s unclear if it would find favor with leaders in the Senate, dominated by Republicans, and Assembly, or with Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

It’s very controversial because it makes people uncomfortable, it really does. I never run away from the uncomfortable,” Ms. Savino said. like she did with people opposing same sex "marriage?  “But in passing I mentioned it to a couple of members and I was somewhat surprised to how supportive they were. There’s not a person who gets to the age of 30 in this world who doesn’t see, or hasn’t seen, someone they love suffer terribly.”

The "open minded" senator hung this outside her office during the fight to destroy marriage

Mr. Hoylman too thought it would be possible to pass the legislation, saying the state had a “sophisticated electorate”meaning  evil/liberal electorate and that they would work to educate means pressure colleagues on the need for the legislation.

“We’ll work on a bill that people are comfortable with, including the advocates, including groups that are concerned about making certain that there are adequate safeguards like Washington where only 3% of people had a psychiatric evaluation? in the legislation, and address concerns like insurance meaning you are now going to pay for murder and be a full partner in this crime and who makes these decisions I though they claimed it was the patient? and issues that are crucial to making certain that the process is not taken advantage of,” Mr. Hoylman said.

Similar legislation was passed by the New Jersey State Assembly, and Ms. Savino said she’d be watching the progress of the neighboring state closely. which is why everybody should lobby in NJ to stop this bill She’ll also take lessons from her lengthy push to pass medical marijuana, she said.

“Lesson number one: pay attention to your colleagues. Their opinions count,” she said. “Also, there’s a very distinct possibility that this could be a multi-year bill. I’m prepared for that.” which means we also have to prepare for that.

NYC Allows A Mother To Call Herself A "Male" On New Birth Certificates

Next we'll ban the word mother?

Birth certificates ask parents if ‘woman giving birth’ is female

No, that’s not a typo.

A city Health Department form for new parents requesting birth certificates asks the “woman giving birth” if she’s male or female.

Along with routine questions — mother’s maiden name, mother’s legal name, mother’s Social Security number — is a gender question that has raised a few eyebrows.

And just in case the inquiry is not clear, the birth-certificate request provides a convenient check box and asks the question in capital letters. “What is your DATE OF BIRTH, current AGE and SEX?” the form asks in the section clearly marked “Mother/Parent (Woman Giving Birth).”

“To be clear, it is possible for a person who has given birth to a child to identify as male,” said Susan Sommer, a lawyer for Lambda Legal, an advocacy group for lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgender people.

Sommer said that given various transgender stages, there is room for the person who gives birth to check the male box.

Not to leave the father out, the form asks dads the same question and gives them the same check-box options. Only there’s no “giving birth” notation in that section.

While the “sex” question might baffle some new parents, "experts" said the birth certificate form was created several years ago and was born out of the "marriage" "equality" movement.

Until a change in the form was made, married gay and lesbian couples had to go to court to secure their names on birth certificates, a legal hurdle that blocked parental rights that most people took for granted.

Then-Gov. David Paterson allowed for the change in 2008 across the state everywhere but in New York City, which keeps its own vital statistics and sets its own rules for them.

City officials reviewed their policy and made a similar change in 2009.

“A form that is respectful and doesn’t make assumptions about sex or gender of people parenting children is fine to me,” Sommer said.

A DOH spokesman was unavailable for comment.

Advocates encourage same-sex "couples" to adopt because doing so gives them extra legal protection. But the birth-certificate provision can clarify parental rights in situations ranging from a hospital nursery to a school registrar’s office, Sommer said.

Time: TBA by Dr. Reeves

General Description and Goals

This elective will provide the senior medical student with a diverse, meaningful, and focused exposure to the healthcare needs of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) patients. Areas of study include identity, life cycle, bias, disparities, legal discrimination, violence, health promotion, harm reduction, prevention, and clinical practice. Learning goals focus on cultural as well as clinical competence in the care of the LGBT patient, and include a requirement for an educational, service or research activity pertaining to LGBT healthcare.

Measurable learning objectives of elective
  • Describe specific healthcare needs of LGBT patients;
  • List challenges faced by LGBT patients in accessing health care and identify ways to overcome these challenges;
  • List local and national resources for LGBT patients
  • Identify and develop a skill(s) to engage in LGBT-related research, teaching and/or service.

Learning Experience
The elective will have three core components: clinical, didactic, and an LGBT-related project. While all components are required, the percentage of each will be tailored by the student’s preferences. These preferences will be determined via a pre-elective form which asks the student to state his/her goals for the elective and the ways in which s/he would like to achieve them. Because of the personalized nature of this elective, we ask that the student contact the course director for pre-approval at least 3 months prior to the start of the elective in order for the course director to coordinate with other faculty members.

Clinical: Students will have up to four outpatient clinical sessions a week during which they will see patients under supervision at community based organizations such as the South Bronx Community Health Center (SBCHC), the Montefiore MMG Health Care Centers (CFCC and CHCC) , and the Callen-Lorde Community Health Center (CLCHC, an LGBT health center in Manhattan). They will also have an opportunity to go out on several Homeless Youth Outreach Mobile Vans (Streetworks at SBCHC or HOTT at CLCHC). Students will keep a narrative journal of their experiences which will be reviewed with the medical director weekly.

Didactic: Students will have weekly required readings and educational videos. They will also be required to attend at least one resident-level lgbt educational seminar led by faculty from a variety of disciplines (e.g. internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, ob-gyn, emergency medicine). These are offered regularly at varying times throughout the month and will be chosen based on the student’s preference and availability.

Educational / Research / Service Project: Students will be required to engage in at least one LGBT-related research, educational, or service-related activity of their choice. Examples of prior and current educational projects include: creating or refining teaching presentations within various disciplines (i.e., updating references for existing workshops); developing and evaluating the Safe Zone Ally and Mentoring Workshops for the medical community; helping to run a Safe Zone Workshop; creating an educational video; updating a local resource guide; assisting in developing LGBT curriculum for the medical school (e.g. helping to develop LGBT case scenarios that can be substituted into any course instead of an existing example); writing an article for the quarterly Einstein LGBT Bulletin; doing research in social media; and helping to organize the LGBT Health Workforce Conference (annual event). In addition, the student will be required to attend monthly LGBT Einstein Steering Committee meetings, at which time s/he will be able to meet and network with LGBT faculty, students, staff, and supportive allies; and also learn about the steps for advancing LGBT policy, practice, and academic scholarship at Einstein. There will be an optional component for students to spend one day a week with a self-indentified LGBT faculty member in the field of the student’s choice.

Method of Student Feedback and Evaluation
Students will meet at the onset of the course and then weekly with the course director to monitor the progress of the student in meeting his/her personal goals as well as the formal course requirements. Specifically, the course director will 1) review the student’s clinical activities of the previous week, including a discussion of the narrative journal entries; 2) learn about the progress of the research / educational/service-related project; and 3) confirm the plans for the future week.

The course director will complete an official Einstein evaluation that will be based on 1) the student’s motivation and initiative; 2) feedback from the individual faculty members who work directly with the student at the clinical site and during the scholarship work; and 3) the results of a formal exam to assess knowledge learned about best practices regarding the healthcare of LGBT patients.

Jerry Nadler Mocks Orthodox Jews

This video of Nadler mocking Orthodox Jews was taken during Obama's first inauguration

For an example of how the Koch Gay rights bill hurt the Jewish community directly (indirectly it led to everything that followed including same sex "marriage")

Yeshiva University's Albert Einstein College of Medicine was forced to accept to lesbians into the dorms (together) due to the bill that Nadler says had no adverse effects

decision forcing YU to admit 2 lesbians into the dorms

Maybe God is now punishing YU for this, with their current financial mess forcing it to sell off Einstein College.

Greenfield Praises Israel for Being Pro Gay

(from 1:14)

Greenfield why praise Israel for that which makes it worthy of destruction (vayikra 18 25-30)

Greenfield; Do the קדושים of Auschwitz want to hear this?!?

Gays weren't even targeted for their Evil/Disgusting behavior either
From auschwitz.org (untouched except for bolding and underlinings)

The situation for male homosexuals in the Third Reich was completely different. Articles 175 and 175a of the German criminal code made “promiscuity between men” a crime. Those convicted of it were threatened with deportation to a concentration camp. The German criminal code applied only to citizens of the Third Reich. Other laws applied in the occupied countries. For instance, the German police paid no attention to “promiscuity” between Polish men. If a German man had “promiscuous relations” with a Pole, however, they were both subject to harsh penalties. As a rule, the German was sent to a concentration camp and the Pole executed, with no trial in either case. This is why the majority of the prisoners designated as homosexuals in the concentration camps were Germans. Of the 97 men identified by name as homosexuals in Auschwitz, for instance, 96 were Germans.
Homosexuals, marked with the pink triangle, made up a separate category of prisoners in the concentration camps. They occupied the lowest rung on the ladder of the German prisoner population. Generally looked down upon by “politicals” of all nationalities, they suffered harassment not only from the SS, but also from their “green” and “black” fellow prisoners. They were isolated, and every attempt that they made at contact with other prisoners brought them under suspicion of “initiating promiscuous relations.”
All this meant that homosexuals had far smaller chances than the average prisoner of surviving the camp. We know about the fate of 64 gay Reichsdeutsch prisoners in Auschwitz; 51 of them, or 80%, died in the camp.
One of the German prisoners who died in Auschwitz concentration camp was Ernst Ellson, born in Duesseldorf on February 18, 1904, of Jewish religious denomination, bachelor, who resided with his parents in Essen. The vice squad, then responsible for supervising places—certain bars and, above all, public toilets—where gays regularly met, had him under observation from 1935. In mid-November 1940, Willy M., a male prostitute, was caught in the act. Under interrogation, he identified Ellson as an occasional client. The police arrested Ellson on November 22. Since he was a Jew, the criminal police, following procedure, notified the Gestapo, which brought charges. On March 14, 1941, the municipal court in Essen sentenced Ellson to four months imprisonment, with time off for the period he had already spent awaiting trial, for “perverted promiscuity” under Article 175 of the penal code. Ellson was scheduled to be released on March 23.

Court Rules "Homophobic Speech" Not Covered Under The First Amendment

particularity dangerous section from the court decision

DETROIT – A state attorney fired for an anti-gay campaign against a college student can’t collect unemployment benefits, the Michigan appeals court says, rejecting claims that his off-hours activities were protected by the First Amendment.

The attorney general’s office was justified in firing Andrew Shirvell in 2010 because his posts on Facebook and an anti-gay blog, as well as his campus visits and TV appearances, clearly had an adverse impact on the agency’s credibility, the court said in a 3-0 decision released Friday.

The court overturned a ruling by an Ingham County judge, who said Shirvell was entitled to jobless benefits because he was fired for exercising free speech.

“The department, as the chief law enforcement agency in the state, represents all of the citizens of Michigan irrespective of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion or creed. … Shirvell’s conduct reasonably could have created the impression that neither he nor the department enforced the law in a fair, even-handed manner without bias,” the court said.

There’s no dispute that Shirvell targeted Chris Armstrong, an openly gay student government president at the University of Michigan. Shirvell appeared on local and national TV shows to defend his blog and criticize what he called Armstrong’s “radical homosexual agenda.”

In response, Attorney General Mike Cox’s office received more than 20,000 complaints.

“Shirvell’s conduct undermined one of the department’s specific missions — i.e. the integrity of its anti-cyberbullying campaign,” said judges Stephen Borrello, Christopher Murray and Peter O’Connell. “By employing an individual such as Shirvell, whose conduct Cox agreed amounted to bullying, the department undermined its own message.”

Reached for comment, Shirvell of Palm Coast, Florida, said he’ll appeal the case to the Michigan Supreme Court.

“Every public employee, whether liberal or conservative, will now be in fear of what they’re doing on their off hours,” he said.

Armstrong’s attorney, Deborah Gordon, said the decision was “excellent.”

In a separate matter, a federal jury in 2012 ordered Shirvell to pay $4.5 million to Armstrong for defamation and emotional distress. An appeal is pending.

“You cannot expect to behave in such an outrageous, illegal, harmful, menacing manner and think that your employer is going to keep you on board as a government employee and it’s not going to affect how you’re perceived by the public,” Gordon said.

Agudah Praises Andrew Cuomo's "Outstanding Leadership Abilities"

Statement from Agudath Israel of America Upon the Passing of Governor Mario Cuomo

Agudath Israel of America notes with sadness the passing of Governor Mario Cuomo.

Throughout his tenure as Governor of the State of New York, Mario Cuomo displayed great friendship to the Jewish community, and played a leadership role in addressing many issues of Jewish concern.

Governor Cuomo enjoyed a close working relationship, and an especially warm personal relationship, with the late president of Agudath Israel, Rabbi Moshe Sherer. Rabbi Sherer befriended Mario Cuomo even before Mr. Cuomo was elected to public office, and the bonds of friendship grew only stronger with the passing years. Their relationship translated into a number of tangible benefits for the Orthodox Jewish community as a whole and for needy members of the community as individuals.

Governor Cuomo had the historic distinction of being the only high ranking American elected official ever to meet with Agudath Israel's Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah (Council of Torah Sages). His deep respect for the senior rabbis, and his willingness to engage them in dialogue on major issues of public policy, set him apart from his contemporaries in the political world.

Agudath Israel extends its deep sympathies and sincere condolences to the Cuomo family, including Governor Andrew Cuomo, who has clearly inherited many of his father's outstanding leadership abilities. May Mario Cuomo's exceptional human qualities continue to serve as a source of inspiration for the family, and for all who aspire to public service in the most noble sense of the term.

(Aguda press release)

"Leadership ability" of twisting arms into passing the most evil legislation in NY history
Was there even a reason to mention Andrew in this piece?

PS: I agree that Andrew did "inherit" much from his father, like his unrelenting push for the evil of liberalism despite the obstacles like Mario did with abortion, and capital punishment.
