NY Times Says Orthodox And Hasidic Jews Recently Donated The Most Money To Quinn

Now if we would have donated this money to Erick Salgado there is a very good chance he would have been one of the leading contenders for the race this Tuesday!

  2. The only times I've ever seen her were at Orthodox synagogues, most recently a week ago Friday night. She was very favorably received and I think she picked up a lot of votes, including mine.

    Why didn't Salgado visit?

  3. anyone who votes for Quinn is a rodef. No Orthodox Jew could ever vote for her because if they did so they would not be Orthodox.

Erick Salgado has went to many shuls. Landuas, Shomer Shabbos, Bnei Yosef etc.

  4. If this is what the chasiddic and SY community want- Go ahead! Your kids and daughters would follow in your footsteps! They will be gay and Lesbian! We will have Zalman and Getzel, Yente & Chanie as couples.

    Enjoy!

  5. The New York Times is not our posekSeptember 9, 2013 at 11:11 AM

Charlie - you are talking about pretty modern congregations. The blogger here is talking about more right wing congregations.

It is unfortunate that some 'Modern Orthodox' are falling over themselves to make a show that they are not, G-d forbid, prejudiced, and welcome people like Quinn. We should be proud to maintain traditional standards, keeping a distance (at least!) from people like Quinn, who challenge and overturn age old, bedrock morality, and are living symbols of that change in their own lives. The New York Times and other liberal bastions are not our poskim. Just because they decided, a few years ago, to overturn traditional morality, we do not march along with them in lockstep, like lemmings. Whoever does so, endangers themselves, and makes themselves into laughingstock. Such as YCT types and fellow travelers.
